We Will Say No Product Needed
Where scouting shows pressure below threshold or soil tests show sufficiency, we say so. That costs us a sale and keeps the relationship.

To supply inputs with recommendations grounded in soil tests, field history and scouting, including the recommendation to apply nothing when nothing is warranted.
Who We Are
Cefetra B.V. supplies agricultural inputs to farmers and growers: seed across the crops grown in our region, bulk and bagged fertilizer with custom blending, crop protection products, micronutrients and biologicals, seed treatment, soil amendments and lime, and the agronomic advice that should accompany all of it. Our agronomists hold the licensing required to advise on and sell crop protection products, and they write recommendations specifying product, rate, timing against crop growth stage, application conditions, resistance management considerations and any restrictions. We also operate soil and tissue sampling services with laboratory analysis and nutrient planning.
Based in Rotterdam, Cefetra B.V. is built around a plain commercial honesty: a dealer paid on volume has an incentive to recommend more product than a grower needs, and growers know it. We work against that by grounding recommendations in soil test results, field history and scouting, and by telling growers when a product is not warranted. We invest in delivery logistics and custom blending capacity because spring application windows are short and an input that arrives late has limited value. We also handle stewardship properly, including container rinsing and recycling programs and routes for obsolete product disposal.

Our Advantages
Where scouting shows pressure below threshold or soil tests show sufficiency, we say so. That costs us a sale and keeps the relationship.
Our agronomists hold the licensing required to advise on crop protection products and write recommendations specifying rate, timing and conditions.
Container recycling collection, storage advice and obsolete product disposal routes are part of the service rather than the grower problem.
Inventory planning, pre-season positioning and delivery scheduling exist because the application window is short and late product has little value.
Custom blends are documented with the actual analysis supplied against the prescription, so what went on the field is on record.
Nutrient and protection advice is built on soil tests, tissue results, field history and scouting rather than on what is sitting in the shed.
Questions get answered by someone who knows your site, in one business day, without being routed through three layers of account management.
Insurance certificates, bonding capacity, safety records and compliance reporting are current and ready before the solicitation closes.

Client Feedback
Their agronomist told me my phosphorus was sufficient and I did not need the starter I had budgeted for. A dealer paid on volume said no to a sale. That is why I buy everything else there.
Zone blending reduced my total fertilizer bill and evened out the yield map at the same time. The blend sheets mean I know exactly what went on each field.
The multi-year resistance program was the first time anyone had given me a plan rather than a product. Three seasons on, control is back and the escapes are gone.
Cefetra B.V. will sample your fields, interpret the results and write an input plan with rates, timings and the reasoning stated.

Spring is short. Our delivery scheduling, custom blending capacity and inventory planning exist so inputs arrive inside the window your agronomy actually requires.
Our Services

Field scouting and agronomic advice through the season, covering stand assessment, weed and disease identification, pest threshold assessment, nutrient deficiency diagnosis and in-season intervention recommendations, written up so the grower has a record of what was advised and why.

Seed across the crops grown regionally, with variety selection advice based on local disease pressure, maturity window, soil type, standability and end-use requirements, plus seed treatment application, germination and purity documentation and seeding rate recommendations against target population.

Delivery scheduling built around the planting and application calendar, including bulk delivery, tender loading, pre-season positioning of product on farm, and inventory planning so the products needed in the narrow spring window are actually in the warehouse.

Bulk and bagged fertilizer with on-site custom blending to prescription, including dry and liquid products, micronutrients, sulphur and lime, delivered to farm or loaded for collection, with blend sheets documenting the actual analysis supplied against the prescription.

We review field history, cropping plan and past performance, sample soils by field or zone and send for analysis, then interpret results against realistic yield goals.
A written input plan covering seed, nutrition and protection is prepared with rates, timings and reasoning, and discussed with the grower before anything is booked.
Products are booked, blends scheduled, and inventory positioned ahead of the season so the narrow application windows are not limited by availability.
Scouting and in-season advice continue, deliveries are scheduled against growth stage, and container collection and record support follow after application.

Ask for the basis. A sound recommendation cites soil test results, tissue analysis, field history or scouting observations and explains the rate and timing. Ours are written that way. We also tell growers when soil tests show sufficiency or pest pressure is below threshold, which costs us a sale.
That is what our inventory planning and pre-season positioning exist for. We encourage early booking and on-farm positioning of product precisely because the busiest fortnight of the year is when depot queues form and application windows close.
By rotating and mixing modes of action rather than relying on the one product that currently works, using full labelled rates, controlling escapes before they set seed, and integrating cultural practices. It requires planning across seasons, which is why we write multi-year programs.

Projects & Case Studies

Product positioned on farm ahead of the season allowed a group of growers to apply inside tight weather windows rather than queuing at the depot during the busiest fortnight of the year.

Repeated use of a single herbicide mode of action had produced escaping weed populations. A multi-year program rotating modes of action with documented recommendations restored control and slowed further resistance.

Zone soil sampling across a grower acreage revealed wide variation in phosphorus and pH. Custom blends were prescribed per zone with blend sheets per load, improving yield consistency while reducing total fertilizer applied.

A collection program for triple-rinsed crop protection containers across our customer base, with obsolete product disposal routes arranged for growers clearing out old chemical stores.

We run collection for triple-rinsed containers and arrange disposal routes for obsolete and unidentified products, which most growers have accumulated in a corner of the chemical store. Both are stewardship obligations and both are easier handled through us than individually.

A visible skip-to-content link, keyboard-operable navigation and menus, and focus styles that remain visible when navigating without a mouse.

From Our Desk

Where unrealistic bids actually get recovered, and what it costs the owner in rework, supervision and reputation.

A basis you can check: soil tests, scouting records and a stated rationale. How to read an agronomic recommendation critically.

Both models work and both fail in predictable ways. A plain comparison of where each one belongs.

Zone soil tests produce prescriptions no standard product matches. Why custom blending usually means less total fertilizer.
